Senior Loads and Aeroelastics Engineer
We are looking for an experienced engineer who will lead the structural dynamics analysis and design of the composite airframe for the S-1

What You’ll Do
-
Generate and extract external loads for operating conditions throughout the flight envelope, including failure conditions.

Set up and execute Finite Element Method (FEM) models to carry out static and dynamic stress analysis for structural sizing.

Model structural dynamics for aeroelastic analysis and flutter prediction, including whirl flutter.

Support the aerodynamic and structural design of the aircraft.
Who You Are
-
Degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field.

Significant experience in leading aeroelastic and dynamics modelling of aircraft structures. S

Significant experience in carrying out stress analysis using hand calculations and FEM to size composite structures.

Extensive knowledge of composite material properties and failure modes.

Extensive knowledge of critical load cases, typical load paths and certification requirements for aircraft structures.

Proficient in CAD (preferably CATIA/3DExperience) including sketching, surfacing, 2D drawing and 3D modelling with appropriate GD&T.
