Advanced Design Engineer - Airframe
We are looking for an experienced design engineer to design the composite airframe for the S-1

Bristol, UK

What You’ll Do
-
Lead the detailed design and CAD modelling of the primary and secondary structures for the S-1.

Support the tooling and manufacturing design of prototype components for a flight test aircraft.

Support the integration of mechanical, electrical and thermal systems onto the S-1 airframe.

Support the design of other airframe assemblies such as landing gear and nacelles.
Who You Are
-
Degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field.

Experience in designing composite aerostructures.

Knowledge of composite part design principles, composite tooling and manufacturing processes.

Ability to apply inventive thinking to solve complex structural design challenges
-
Proficient in CAD (preferably 3DExperience) including sketching, surfacing, 2D drawing and 3D modelling with appropriate GD&T.
