We are looking for a mechanical design engineer to design proprotor drivetrain for the S-1

What You’ll Do
-
Lead the detailed mechanical design and CAD modelling of the electric propulsion drivetrain, transmission and nacelle installation

Lead the design, selection and sizing of shafts, bearings, seals and other drivetrain components

Support the design of the nacelle structure, tilt actuation system and nacelle-wing interface
-
Support the integration of mechanical, electrical and thermal systems onto the S-1 nacelles
-
Support the tooling and manufacturing design of prototype components for a flight test aircraft
Who You Are
-
Degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field
-
Experience in designing aircraft transmission systems, gearboxes and complete drivetrains
-
Knowledge of electric propulsion system installations

Ability to apply inventive thinking to solve complex structural design challenges

Proficient in CAD (preferably 3DExperience) including sketching, surfacing, 2D drawing and 3D modelling with appropriate GD&T
