Principal/Senior Design Engineer - Wing
We are looking for an experienced design engineer who will lead the design of the composite wings for the S-1

What You’ll Do
-
Lead the overall design and CAD modelling of the primary and secondary structures of the composite wings of the S-1.

Lead the integration of mechanical systems / actuation, ice protection systems, electrical systems and battery packs onto the wings.

Lead the wing-fuselage interface definition
-
Lead the selection of materials, fasteners / joining methods and manufacturing processes for the wings.

Support the design of other airframe assemblies such as landing gear and fuselage.
Who You Are
-
Degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field.

Significant experience in designing aerostructures, especially wings, for CS-25/29 aircraft.

Extensive knowledge of composite material design principles. Knowledge of composite bonded joints is beneficial.

Extensive knowledge of critical load cases, typical load paths and certification requirements for aircraft structures.

Proficient in CAD (preferably CATIA/3DExperience) including sketching, surfacing, 2D drawing and 3D modelling with appropriate GD&T.
