Senior Design Engineer - Proprotor Hub and Controls
We are looking for an experienced design engineer to design the proprotor hub assembly for the S-1

What You’ll Do
-
Lead the detailed design and CAD modelling of the hub assembly, mechanical controls and metallic components for the S-1 proprotor system
-
Lead the mechanical integration of the proprotor actuation system

Select and size bearings, fasteners, shafts, linkages and other metallic components
-
Produce and review engineering drawings, specifications, design reports and change documentation

Support the tooling and manufacturing design of prototype proprotor for ground and flight testing
-
Contribute to the design and development of other airframe structures and mechanical systems as required
Who You Are
-
Degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field

Experience in design and development of rotating mechanical assemblies, preferably for aerospace or other high-performance applications

Knowledge of metallic structural design principles, including assembly tolerances, fatigue, damage tolerance and manufacturability considerations.

Ability to apply inventive thinking to solve complex structural design challenges

Proficient in CAD (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA) including sketching, surfacing, 2D drawing and 3D modelling with appropriate GD&T
