Test Engineer - Proprotor Whirl Rig
We are looking for a test engineer to design, build and operate test rigs for the S-1's proprotors

What You’ll Do

Design, fabricate, and commission custom test rigs for proprotor whirl/spin testing, covering instrumentation, safety systems, and control interfaces

Select and integrate measurement equipment, including strain gauges, accelerometers, high-speed cameras, and torque/power sensors

Lead all aspects of rig build and setup, including mechanical assembly, sensor installation, cabling, and integration with data acquisition systems

Plan, schedule, and execute rotor dynamic tests ensuring rigorous test methodology and safety compliance

Collect, analyse, and interpret test data, including loads, vibrations, accelerations, and rotor speeds
Who You Are
-
Degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field

Experience in designing, building, commissioning and running dynamic test rigs
-
Hands-on mechanical and experimental skills, including rig fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting

Practical experience in running test campaigns including extracting, analysing and post-processing test data
-
Experience working in a safety-critical environment

Proficient in CAD (preferably 3DExperience) for test rig design
